Advisory Committee

Two Advisory Committees as mentioned below shall assist the Governing Body of Navy Education Society. The Advisory Committees shall meet during Annual NES Conference and review/ recommend various aspects of school functioning.

Academic Advisory Committee (AAC).
A committee headed by the Vice Chairperson, NES comprising all the Heads of Naval Schools and two co-opted Educationists shall function as the AAC, to advice the Governing Body about the academic and co-curricular programmes of Naval Schools. The committee shall help to prepare guidelines for implementation of academic programmes so as to transform the Naval Schools as ‘Schools of Excellence’ in keeping with the national goals on education.

Management Advisory Committee (MAC).
A committee headed by the Vice Chairperson, NES comprising all Vice Chairpersons of School Management Committees; Directors and Heads of Naval Schools and two co-opted Educationists shall function as the MAC to advice the Governing Body on the following aspects:-

  • Ratification of accounts/ budget estimates of Naval Schools and make recommendations on major upgradation of schools.
  • Recommend works policy and the roll-on plan for development of Naval Schools.
  • Prescribe the norms for issuing administrative approvals as well as to review the progress of construction works.
  • Make recommendations on policy matters relating to management of Naval Schools.
