The Annual Navy Education Society (NES) Conference 2024 was held at Headquarters Goa Naval Area, Vasco-da-Gama, Goa, from 20 to 22 November 2024. Key events included meetings of the Executive Committee, Management Advisory Committee (MAC) and Academic Advisory Committee (AAC), where discussions focused on the policy framework for Naval Schools, particularly the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. A guided tour of Navy Children School Goa was also arranged for the delegates.
The Executive Committee Meeting on 22 Nov 24 was chaired by Vice Admiral Vineet McCarty, Controller Personnel Services and Chairperson of NES. The MAC and AAC meetings were chaired by Commodore SM Urooj Athar, Commodore (Naval Education) and Vice Chairperson NES. The conference also saw participation of officers from Naval Headquarters as well as academic and administrative leadership from Naval Schools nationwide.
During the conference, the Chairperson NES presented Rolling Trophies to schools that had excelled academically in the previous AY 2023-24. In his address, Vice Admiral McCarty commended the significant role of Naval Schools in providing quality education to children of naval personnel. He emphasised the importance of implementing the NEP and other policy guidelines effectively, ensuring a deep understanding of their principles. He also urged school managements to foster a learning environment that motivates students to develop life skills and excel in both academics and co-curricular activities.

International Yoga Day 2024 was celebrated at Naval Schools with fervour, engaging teachers and students in various asanas; embracing wellness and mindfulness through yoga, fostering a healthier and more balanced community.

Annual NES Conference 2023 was held on 09 and 10 Nov 23 at Porbandar, hosted BY Navy Children School Porbandar. The conference was chaired by Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, AVSM, NM, Controller Personnel Services, Naval Headquarters (Chairperson, NES). Commodore G Rambabu, Commodore (Naval Education) Vice Chairperson, NES as well as Vice-Chairperson/ Directors/ Heads of Navy Children Schools attended the conference. For the first time, nominated Heads of Naval Kindergarten also attended the conference.

Thirty NCC cadets from Ladakh visited NCS Vizag in Jun 24 as part of Youth Exchange Programme. They were welcomed by NCC officers, staff, and Principal. An interactive session, school tour and games were organized during the visit.

Navy Education Society signed an agreement with M/s Jeannypr Softech Pvt Ltd in Jun 24 to provide unified ERP system and websites for Naval Schools. The ERP aims at enhanced user experience for all stakeholders as well as integration of Naval Schools, enabling data governance at various levels.

NES Inception Day was celebrated at Naval Schools during second week of April. Special assemblies were held wherein students were apprised of the role, mission and objectives of Navy Education Society.
